Valentine Box

Submitted by: Cheryl Kumberg

My Daughter got a gift card from a upscale store for Christmas. I liked he look of the box so I decided to see if I could make a pattern for it. I got together with my neighbor (2 heads are always better) and created this. I used SCAL 2 to create the box pattern. It took a lot of trys to make the lines match up correctly. I love the ability to skew lines, and use different shapes that when welded together, make make just the right shape. It is cut out of cardstock. I used a free SVG pattern to make the flowers out of vellum and put some flower soft in the middle of the flowers to imitate the center of Mum. I inked the vellum and curled it to give it the 3-D look. The corner flurishes were another free download! The little hearts are a cricut pattern. It was fun to challenge myself since I am really a "newbie" to these programs. My neighbor just purchased make the cut so we are both excited to see what we can do!
