Easter Favor Cake

Submitted by: Maria Schulz

To create this cake, I used the cake box from SVGCuts.com's "Betty's Boxes and Bags" collection. I bought my ribbons, teal and chocolate texture papers as well as the Porcelain Chocolate Bunny Cake Topper from Hobby Lobby. I used "Sure Cuts A Lot" to cut all the pieces. I assembled the boxes using my Scorpal to score the fold lines and glued them together with Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive. I embellished each cake slice with a paper rose (sooo easy to make) from SVGCuts.com's "Crush on You Boxes" file. Even though this is a Valentine collection, the roses and boxes are so beautiful and can be used for all seasons (Spring, Easter, Weddings, etc). The paper for the flowers came from Michaels (Recollection brand) and for a finishing touch I added some fabric leaves that I found at Hobby Lobby in the wedding department. I adhered the flowers to boxes with hot glue. You can see all my pictures at www.mariaschulz.blogspot.com
