1. Will this software work with my Sizzix eclips™ machine?
Yes, it is compatible with Sizzix eclips machines.
2. Will eCAL cause my current SCAL to stop working?
eCAL will all install in separate folder from other Sure Cuts a Lot versions by default so you can have both versions on your computer if you want.
3. Why do I need a separate stand alone version to work with the Sizzix eclips?
We have worked closely with Sizzix to launch a new version of the very popular SCAL software that is exclusively compatible with the Sizzix eclips machine. With the unique features and capabilities of the eclips machine, it was necessary to develop a stand alone software solution that allows the user to leverage such machine features as scoring, laser cut preview and others, which are not available on other consumer electronic cutters.
4. What operating systems can I run eCAL on?
We have versions available for Windows (XP/Vista/7/8/10/11) and MacOS (10.11 - 12.x). eCAL version 2 can run on MacOS 10.6 - 10.11.
5. Why am I getting 2 straight line cuts through the middle of my design?
The demo version will cut a few horizontal lines through everything as a DEMO watermark.
6. Can I install the software on a second computer?
The license for our software is a single user license, and entitles that single user to install the software on a second computer, provided they are not both used at the same time, or by more than one person.
7. Can I use my serial to install on both a Windows and Macintosh machine?
Yes, but only up to 2 total computers. So you could have the program on 2 Windows machines, OR 2 Mac machines, OR 1 Windows and 1 Mac machine.
